Hi! My name is Raul. I inspire people to have their best day every day.

The title of this website is GoodGoodDayRaul. GoodGoodDay is the motto I live by. It means to pursue the good. It means to choose to focus on the good things rather than the negative things. It means to live knowing that you are loved. It means facing the battles of every day with a braver heart.

I believe that traveling enables you to have a better perspective of the world because you are able to have a more well-rounded, more complete story of what the world looks like, and how people are. A GoodGoodDay starts with a good perspective, and nothing helps you gain perspective like traveling does.

Countless blogs aim to tell you how you should travel. “Here’s the perfect itinerary.” “Here’s the perfect backpack.” “Here is the best hotel.” “Here’s the must have information for your trip.” I have no intention of ever doing that. What I’m going to do is tell you stories that hopefully inspire you to go and collect your own set of stories.

Here are some of my credentials:

I grew up as a missionary kid in Mexico. I moved to Arkansas, USA in 2004. I have livd here for over 20 years, except for the year that I lived and worked in Liechtenstein. I majored in Art and German from the University of Arkansas. I can fluently speak English, Spanish, and German. I have written one play and I have written three children’s books currently for sale on Amazon.

I believe the best thing I have to offer is perspective. I don’t have a masters degree, or a PhD, or 20 years of experience doing one single thing, but I have always had a really good outlook on life. That’s why this site is called GoodGoodDayRaul. Also, I have done a bunch of really great, random things and I have a lot of great stories from that.

What I hope to do with those stories is to offer you a bit of encouragement. I wish to point you towards Jesus. I wish for you to be able to see the only real source of hope in this world with clarity, and for you to be able to face the battles of life with a braver heart.

So far I have written one play which I’ve submitted to a competition, and I am currently working on a movie script about Vikings. But there is a whole lot more coming.
